1. Public primary and secondary schools
Applications for public secondary schools must go through the local education bureau rather than contacting the school directly. Canadian public schools implement a 12th grade compulsory education system. Generally speaking, schools accept students based on the residential area and location of the family.

2. Private high school
In addition to Canada's public education system, there are also many private high schools run by Chinese in Vancouver. The tuition fees are similar to those of public schools. They are more suitable for international students with weak English foundation.
